OUR APPROACH
Just as nature is governed by order, PowerHouse adheres to a structured approach ensuring your progress, health and long-term well-being. Our work is based on an individualized approach.
Our journey of progress begins with an InBody analysis with which we determine the composition of your body and track changes over time.
We then proceed with corrective training so as to bring our clients back “to their early years”. In other words, we diagnose and then correct breathing, stabilization and movement patterns.
This is either followed by introductory Pilates or functional training sessions in the gym, depending on the client’s preference. Pilates emphasizes precision, strength and mobility with spring-loaded resistance, whereas functional training improves endurance, explosive power and coordination.
Gym sessions include resistance exercises such as squats, lunges and pulls.
If at any time during training a client experiences pain requiring alleviation or relief, we utilize the Winback device with TECAR technology to facilitate rapid recuperation and regeneration. Various types of massages are available for relaxation and recovery.

PILATES
The Pilates method is performed on Pilates apparatus as a series of seamlessly connected exercises without long pauses. Pilates exercises improve core stability, full-body strength, mobility and posture.
For this reason, Pilates is used today by recreational and professional athletes, as well as people with various physical conditions. Results include lean muscles, muscle endurance and strength, a healthy back, a strong core and elegant posture.

At our studio, you can experience the authentic Pilates method on original equipment made by Gratz Pilates, a company that manufactured the first commercial Pilates apparatus according to designs by Joseph Pilates himself and continues to manufacture them to this day.
The Pilates method, originally named Contrology, was created during the 1920s by Joseph Pilates, a German immigrant in the United States. Known affectionately as “Uncle Joe”, he was committed, persistent and passionate about his ideas, dedicating his entire life to the development of this revolutionary method. His legacy includes over 10 carefully designed Pilates apparatus used to perform exercises he created himself, as well as mat-based exercises. He refused to call his apparatus “machines” due to the fact that, as he himself explained, machines work for you and apparatus work with you.
The main Pilates apparatus include the Reformer, the Cadillac, three types of Chairs, three types of Barrels, the Pedi Pole and the High Mat.
Joseph Pilates was a true visionary – long before modern movement science, he advocated the idea that every movement should originate from a stable core, which he called the Powerhouse. Before his passing in 1967, he famously stated that he was 50 years ahead of his time. Today, the Pilates method is more popular than it has ever been.

CORRECTIVE TRAINING AND DNS

Our corrective training is rooted in the DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization) method, incorporating elements of kinesitherapy, mobility exercises and manual techniques as needed.
These sessions are mandatory before starting any other program in our studio.
We recommend them to individuals with existing physical issues, as well as to anyone looking to improve the quality of their movement, prevent injuries and develop better body awareness.
more
DNS, or Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, is a physiotherapy method based on the neurodevelopmental kinesiology of infants during their first year of life – the crucial period during which we develop breathing and movement patterns, core stability and joint function.
What does this look like when applied?
The client performs exercises that first serve as an assessment tool and then as corrective training. This allows us to compare their locomotor and stabilizing functions with those of a healthy infant.
Due to various factors such as stress, a sedentary lifestyle, injuries, illnesses and others, this innate function is impaired, leading to compensatory patterns that can further create problems, pain and injuries.

GYM
In other words, we simultaneously train multiple muscles and our brain (CNS). As a result, the body as a whole functions more effectively, achieving greater harmony.
Exercises comprising the simultaneous use of more joints require more coordination, balance, body awareness and strength.

They are therefore excellent for core strength, spine stability and altering detrimental movement patterns. The goal is to re-establish balance in order for every muscle to “carry its weight”. These movement patterns become automatic through repetition. Consequently, we begin to unconsciously use these new movement patterns whenever we require them, resulting in our movement becoming more effective in terms of relieving pressure on joints and the spine, alleviating pain and tension and strengthening the muscles. Such exercises facilitate and improve the quality of performing daily activities, such as walking, bending down, sitting, getting up from a chair, walking up stairs and carrying and lifting things/children.
We must emphasize that functional training is not solely confined to training sessions in the gym, but can be any type of training that improves motor patterns and postural-locomotor body function.
Our gym features state-of-the-art Keiser equipment based on pneumatic, or air resistance, enabling even muscle activity throughout the entire range of motion, as well as top-of-the-line equipment manufactured by renowned companies such as Woodway, Eleiko, Versaclimber and others.

MASSAGE

Thai massage is an ancient therapeutic technique that combines acupressure with stretching and rhythmic movements to relax the body and improve circulation. There are two main types of Thai massage: Dry Thai massage: performed in comfortable clothing without oils, focusing on pressure and passive stretching. Thai oil massage: performed with aromatic oils for deep relaxation and improved circulation.
These massages reduce stress, improve flexibility, relieve muscle tension and promote overall well-being. They are ideal for those who wish to free their body of tension and achieve balance of the body and mind.
